What is Advent Adventure?
Advent Adventure is FOCUS’s Winter Local Initiative, an opportunity designed to help parishes create service efforts that address specific needs in their local communities during the Thanksgiving & Christmas seasons.
how do parishes participate?
Each parish participates in a service initiative with the “Choose Your Own Adventure” approach, selecting a community need they feel called to serve.
FOCUS will then:
- Support you in creating a timeline to make your adventure a reality
- Connect you with an organization in your community working to meet that need
- Provide resources to create an event that provides face-to-face interactions
- Prepare you and your parish for intentional engagement
- Support your community in processing the experience with the community organization
- Provide ongoing support as you continue to serve this need in your community
how can a parish sign up?
Please fill out our Advent Adventure Interest Form and we will contact you to complete our Choose Your Own Adventure Assessment to begin the planning process. The last day to complete this form is December 1st.
