COVID-19 Guidelines
Core Guidelines:
- All YES Leaders must be vaccinated or have a negative COVID test result on the day of travel.
- Masks can be worn indoors as people feel comfortable.
- For all participants and leaders – DO NOT attend the Trip if:
- You have any of these symptoms within 5 days of the YES Trip:
- Fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.
- You have been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 5 days.
- Close contact is defined by the CDC as someone who was within 6 feet for a total of 15 minutes or more within 2 days prior to illness onset, regardless of whether the contact was wearing a mask.

- You have any of these symptoms within 5 days of the YES Trip:
- On the day of the Trip:
- Leaders will have hand sanitizer available when needed.
- The group will follow all COVID-19 restrictions mandated by the city for the safety and health of everyone we serve and one another.
- When visiting a ministry site, the group will follow all COVID-19 restrictions implemented by the organization.
- When possible, gather outside the church in an open space for orientation. If not, meet inside of the church in an open wide space. Each person can decide if they would like to wear a mask. All participants will adhere to the requirements of the facility.
